is the graphite from the tape and tool able to be wiped off after a cycle in the kiln? Or will it bake on if it is left on there before annealing?

The graphite tape should come off the joint easy it’s not sticky at all just a thin piece of graphite to keep the joint from wiggling in the tool. After you take it out of the tool If pieces of it won’t come off just pop it in the kiln and you can pick it off after the cycle. A dish scrubber and glass cleaner work good to clean graphite marks off of the joint

Mountain glass arts is where I would get everything from. I think the brand of the tool is blastshield but I’ve used other brands and all I’ve tried so far I can’t tell a difference in them
