Great idea about using cyanoacrylate to fix the magnet and carbide point. Brass is also catnip for microwave radio folks!

Those are really nice - and useful, too! I like the idea of a hex scriber. Reminiscent of a #2 pencil.

Is the carbide part a Tig electrode?

No this is made with a replaceable carbide tip. I thought about using a tig electrode, but a couple of people told me they didn't think they would hold up. Do you think they would hold up to daily use?
