In this video, I plan a map and create a basic layout using SDK.

Thank you so much for the video! It's so wholesome, I remember making my first map and having similar issues. You were very thoughtful about the layout, chokepoints, and proportions. Awesome work!

I would make videos about my maps that i never finish, but im too lazy to record the entire process, i always forget... thats why there are so few because it can take over a month to make a semi decent map and thats A. a lot of footage and B. you would have to remember what you did and document your ideas and stuff, which map makers are very lazy so we just don't do that kinda stuff :)

i would suggest using Figma. its a website program that is very useful for planning and making layouts

He used photoshop to plan it, and source sdk to make the map

We sent the map files to eachother through discord to begin with, as they got larger I sent them on dropbox. & then they manually place them in their maps folder

Can i use a FBX model for a map?

I believe there is a blender plugin which allows for things like Obj. to Mdl. or any model file to a valve model file. Do some digging friend.

I believe you need to have purchased CSGO to download SDK

@@ChavvyChannel u dont, csgo is free and I already have it and 72+ hours on it

@@mushybmb The SDK is only unlocked by buying the Prime Status Upgrade. If you get Prime for free (through your level), you won‘t get access to the SDK. The SDK is still available, but not for free.

@@mushybmb It's pretty confusing (that's why I reached out the Steam support). But if you can afford it, I think it's worth it.
