Making a Custom Snuggly Blanket

I have made these simple snugglies for years. Young children love them for the softness and for the many fun ways you can cuddle and play with them. I like to Custom make them. You could choose stuffed animals and minky that would match, a quilt you made for a baby gift, or young person's birthday gift. It's so fun to shop for the perfect little stuffed animal and Minky style.
I usually buy these little blankets in the USA at discount stores like Ross(Dress for Less) or T.J. Maxx. A bunch of other discount stores have them too. You can use regular Minky yardage, but I find the price is less and the variety of choice is better at the discount stores.

I am speechless, they are just wonderful. It's a funny thought cutting into a stuffed toy, like we are causing harm.

If you remove even more stuffing, you can sew it shut easier. Leave a small opening to push excess stuffing back in. Animal won’t fight w you quite so much. Then hand sew the little opening closed.
