The name is KHUKURI not KUKRI 😂😂😂, I also know that the spelling mistake is not your fault but as a Nepali I felt obliged to point out those errors. A Khukuri initially was like that centuries ago but then a small cut was added towards the bottom near the handle towards the sharp side, so that the blood of the victim will not rush all the way to the users hand and the handle of the weapon and make it slippery in the battle field or get stuck on the victim's body when pulled out from the cut, ultimately losing the weapon. That cut would prevent those blood flow and make it drip from it before getting to the hand or handle. Small details made the Gorkhali victorious in close combat. Though, you have nice skill and gave your best effort.

Wow great craftsmanship Jesse. A little explanation about the Kukri, the correct pronunciation is Khukuri which is the all purpose kinife for everyday household use in the kitchen, cutting wood, cutting fodder from the forest for your goats and cattle in the Himalayan region. It is also is used in the slaughter of animals by chopping off their heads. It is also a personal weapon of the Gurkha army. There is a small mistake in the knife. Jesse did not cut a small half moon slot at the base of the Khukuri blade before the handle. This is needed to drain or divert the flow of the blood away from your hand after a little slaughter so that the handle is not slippery and fly off from your hand.

Hand sanding I KNOW is the last step other then guard and handle BUT I HATE it so much I almost always put it off till i have 3 or 4 blades ready to go. I still hate it of course but I guess for me it seems like I'm getting more done..Yes I KNOW i'm not but it makes me feel better, then just wasting a whole day doing 2.

A very educational vid Jesse, especially the quote of “at the end of the day, is night!” lol. A sense of humour is a very important part of the content, and showing any mistakes, being small or big, even potentially, at critical stages as you did well, it makes it more real! Keep it up, and keep it in! From a new subscriber👍🏼.
