So from my poor understanding of different types of hammers; A chasing hammer is a hammer typically used for engraving by jewelers and fine metal workers, but good point I didn't explain that at all. Thanks for the comment mate!

haha Thanks for the complement mate, but there are a LOT of projects that don't make it into videos, sometimes they work out, but often I will only give it a few tries before I pull the pin. There is another project that I'm currently working on that was also full of trials and tribulations, but against my better judgment I decided to stick with it and turn it into something. There is absolutely no shame in tossing a project in the trash if you feel like your wasting your time, it's sometimes better to either restart or just move onto something else you are more passionate or interested in. The only reason I stuck with this project was because of how much time I had sunken into it when it began to fail, that and I needed to put out a video some time soon. Art is subjective; sometimes people turn trash into art, some people just throw out their trash, and some people don't even try to begin with. We will always have something to learn from the screw ups, but nothing to learn from doing nothing. Apologizes for the long reply, I guess all it comes down to is I'm stubborn. I'm always working unfortunately, I would like to start up a small etsy business or something, and I do have an etsy stall, just nothing on it... for now I just spend my free time making videos but like I say my free time is currently few and far between. Honestly I would treasure anything I got from you I don't have alot but what I do have I treasure especially my knives and hand tools, you make some awesome knives as well ......and your doing a few things in your videos I'd love to have the tools and knowledge to do myself . I hope you keep it up and I get to see some more ...... honestly I looked up a couple of blacksmiths in NZ and the one I found doing hammers was charging like 250$ each , bugger that , pluss I wanted something I could finish off myself ,I've been making a few things from native timber and I'm a amateur bone Carver so I wanted to make the handle ,and I've got a peace of wale bone I've been saving to do a knife handle . Might have to just go with a standard old recycled claw hammer ,god I needed something today ,I'm a bit Brocken and I just needed that extra reach to hook onto trees to help pull me up the hills well checking my traps today 🤣 well anyway have a good one dude

@@kiwiprouddavids724 cheers mate, that rate for hammers ain't too different for across the pond either, over here I pay about $230 for a GOOD quality hammer, I don't really make hammers, they are a bit much work for me, I might give it a go in the future when I get a bit more time on my hands!
