How much would you charge for the model? I make candy for family and friends and would love to impress them but have no skills to make the model for the rollers.

Great job! Have you made anymore designs?

What would you charge to make and design one for a local candy business I work with? Anything to make the process easier whether it’s a roller design or a hinged crimper. I would definitely be interested in buying.

Would you consider selling the blue prints to the candy roller?
@daygamecandy230912 күн бұрын
@@keeper8730 I don’t really have blue prints, but I think I can send the Fusion360 file

Must be tough getting them to align exactly with the gears ;)
@daygamecandy23092 жыл бұрын
Thats the hardest part for me. I actually designed a gear that allows me to make adjustments for each roller.
@IAN44652 жыл бұрын
That’s fancy. Someone must’ve been really smart to come up with that

I have a drop roller and if they do not line up you can move the gear around a notch at a time until it matches.

Could we ask the cam and cad software used to design and machine code?
@daygamecandy2309 Жыл бұрын
I use Fusion 360. It has both design and machining functions to make the g-code.

Wow, what is the material for the roller?
@daygamecandy2309 Жыл бұрын
aluminum

Would you have any idea how much CNC milling would cost if I quote for this type of roller x2 to a Machining factory?

@@daygamecandy2309 Sorry about many questions but I'm really really curious and you are the only one who dose this in KZfaq!!! Does fitting bar into the pipe roller require a pressing machine or is there a way one can do without such a big machine?
@daygamecandy2309 Жыл бұрын
@@jeffkim6005 I tried once and it was in the $1000's of dollars. Thats why I learned to do it myself.
@daygamecandy2309 Жыл бұрын
@@jeffkim6005 I use a keyway and a pin. I think the originals used a tight fit and a press. Probably heated up the brass roller and let it cool around the steel axel shaft. I'm just guessing though, its pretty impressive what they could do back then.

Average person does not have this type of machinery

If you can design it, you can outsource. That’s how I 3D print.
@daygamecandy23092 жыл бұрын
Yes. I joined a Makerspace here where you can learn and rent time on their machines.
@daygamecandy23092 жыл бұрын
@@Jana-oj7zq I tried 3D printing , but they weren’t strong enough, didn’t have the cooling property, and weren’t very smooth. Not that it couldn’t be done, I just had a hard time with it.
@Jana-oj7zq2 жыл бұрын
@@daygamecandy2309 To be clear, I don’t 3D print items that will interface with very hot or very cold items. I’ve done food-safe materials for room-temp soft molds.

@@daygamecandy2309 is there anyway you can share the plans and where you went? I wanna make a drop candy roller
