@@ihateyouall7026 Well, maybe a pale lilac or blue, and I think that if you want to wear it on the beach, red or white would be beautiful too... But it's a very personal choice.😉☺

Man the effort of that hand pleating alone was on point! Wow girl that dress came out beautiful. I'm not a fan of half/half tho, maybe a blending of the two colors at the top would have been cool.

I agree. Hand sewing over all is far more relaxing in my opinion. Currently working on a 100% hand sewn shift and it really has been enjoyable

Machine sewing may be faster but hand sewing is so much more satisfying.

Well, I do not recommend doing that 🙈 how many needles I already broke because of sewing over needles... but in this case there was no other way as the folds would have come lose. And if you do it carefully, you should be fine 🥰

@@THISISKACHI no I totally understand, desperate times take desperate measures. And though pleats were definitely a desperate time. 😂 I’ve not even done much pleating myself cause they aren’t easy without sewing over pins, plus I have a singer confidence which isn’t a very strong machine

I absolutely love it!!! The only thing I would change is I would have layered the two fabrics instead of just splitting the two colors. But it looks amazing nonetheless!!

The dress is beautiful, but I'm confused as to why it needed the original tulle dress, as all of it was covered completely by the other fabrics. I liked the pale color of the original dress and thought it was going to be in the end result, so I was surprised when it got covered up...

There is always something ethereal about a sheer fabric, be it Tulle, Chiffon, Organza, or a myriad of others, the effect is always so pleasing to the eye. I love the extended cape-like sleeve, I think it adds to that ethereal quality of the overall look. Well done you! :) One question...How on earth do you manage to do that amount of hand sewing with those glorious nails and not break one? :))

Hey Kachi. Would've liked mixing up the two colours more. A bit of an ombre effekt would've been nice with all the pleating and connecting the two halfs. So...upcycling is a bit over for this construction. I'm with you,that making it from scratch would have been a lot easier. But it is a nice patience exercise😄 All in all it looks nice and light.
