Clear Gorilla Construction Adhesive (to glue the glass to the cross)

You did great! I've used 22 & 24 ga nichrome to make my own loops in the glass pieces. It works well, without spalling or looking terrible. & It lasts. For a design accent try making a little double spiral. If you like attaching the wires but not the look it can be disguised with a little strip of a dark opal or black, easy peasey with clear on top. Great job - great idea. Would like to see it hanging in the sun. Bet its awesome. 😮 🎉 ❤

You should practice twisting glass with needle nose pliers…you can twist a cross shape

Good thing she’s local and I know her well. If it breaks, I can remake it. Hoping the swivels reduce the stress on the wire itself.

Yes, I worry slightly. I’m a good friend with the buyer and have offered to redo this as needed.

I worry about that nichrome too. I really like fusing with solid brass. The yellow brass hardly spalls and cleans up easily to almost a gold tone. I am afraid that nichrome will be brittle and too thin. Also, I tried 2 layers of 3mm in the past and switched to 1 layer color and 1 layer tekta too.😊

@@kathybidler8843 I use nichrome a lot, but thicker wire (0,7 or 1 mm) and It doesn't get brittle. Copper gets brittle (my experience)
