When I attached a flange to the middle of my ram i caused it to be weakened and leak oil due to material fatigue stresses upon it so used a thicker tube threaded the outside and use a threaded pipe flange with 12mm bolt holes for mounting.

I gotta be honest. I've been looking for inspiration for presses. I'm going to build one here soon. But literally nothing Is as beefy and as useful as the shop built one at work. Like i haven't Seen any big parts assembly presses on KZfaq. The one st work is 200 tons 6ftx6ftx7ft tall. Frame is 6x6x.5 square tube, with back to back 10inx3inx.375 u channel. The pins are 2in x6ft. Has a ram on trolleys back and forth. Has a chain mail curtain for when things go spicy. We make it hop on off the ground like 4 er 5times a month with some uncooperative crane wheels or various other gearbox related stuff. I mean hop like an inch or 2 while maxing it out then 2 guys heating up the parts with oxy propylene torches. Anyways This doesn't feel extreme this video. Like cool you split wood lol I'm giving up and making A 3/5 scale press based on the one at work.

Never dissatisfied. I still gotta wonder if you guys have a fabrication shop… it must get expensive using all those cutting tools on the machine and the metal etc.
