After you finished shaping the hypertufa and you laid the plastic sheet over the top, I wondered whether filling the plastic-lined cavity with sand would help to compress the hypertufa and hold the sides up while it cured? I love the result - the bowl is beautiful.

Yes, that's what I stated in the video. I have used that technique before. See 16:28 In hindsight, I wish I could have done the sand technique, but I know I couldn't lift it with sand in it. Maybe for some smaller pots.

Wow. Kim that’s impressive for what was that 3-4 ingredients. Is this something you can keep outdoors in the winter with snow? Very impressive. It wasn’t that bad - how long would you say it took before covering up with the trash bag? Can you paint them?

Yes and yes, outdoors in winter and snow and ice. Just a day or so to the final wrap. Most of the time I like to take it out of the first mold in 24 hours, texturize, then rewrap. I have painted them with latex and with wood stain and cement stain. I like wood stain best. Go figure! LOL
