Makers Care is an organization of makers and artists who are helping to improve the lives of others through fundraising. This year's theme is animals. Makers Care would like everyone to create something animal themed out of anything and submit it to www.makerscare.... . For every entry received, Woodworking for Mere Mortals will donate five dollars to the Make a Wish Foundation. Microjig will match that donation.

great job Jamie and your assistant was awful cute too. I love when we can get the kids in the shop to participate. I especially love your exotic yellow handled hammer LOL

If I understand correctly the “hammer” I was using was the handle of one of my files. I had it near by so I just grabbed it and used that instead of an actual hammer.

mate i tried to make this but my roo wont hop properly, is the hole for the center dowel bigger than the dowel itself are the legs a little longer than the body by this i mean is the chest just short of touching the ground

yes it has to be to allow the dowel to rotate

Laura M. Sissa if I understand your question correctly it’s just gravity that pulls them along and the way it’s built makes them look like they are hopping
