Making a Lantern for my Plague Doctor Cosplay

So, I said I wasn't going to make a full costume, BUT I think I want to now. So here is a lantern to go with my Plague Doctor cosplay. I used 10 mm, 6 mm EVA, 1 over-sized Christmas light decoration, apple sauce lids, plastic chain, small plastic skeletons, LED puck light, 1/8 inch styrene, contact cement, super glue, hot glue, Plasti Dip, spray paint, and some wax/acrylic paints. You may also need the following tools: a heat gun, a Dremel with various bits, a wood burner, and an Xacto knife or box cutter. This certainly turning into an interesting and cool looking costume. The lettering really added some depth of character to the finished lamp and I just have to give you kudos for converting a Christmas decoration into something like this; I'm one of those people who dislikes that they put out Christmas decorations before Halloween has even come and gone (since Halloween is my favorite holiday). Some ideas for cool accessories to add: - An acrosius/censer/incense holder like the ones you might see used in church services. This would fit with the whole idea of keeping foul emanations and plague vapors away. - A wide brimmed hat, because its a stylish accessory that every Cyberpunk Plague Doctor needs. - Some sort of staff for assistance walking and to keep away any pesky plague victims who can't afford to pay for services. - A "treatment" kit; you could really go wild with the meshing ancient medical devices and Cyberpunk to create some funky looking instruments. Throw in some vials of oddly colored, possibly glowing, liquids for added creepy factor.

Wow. That is some in depth suggestions. Definitely good suggestion. I like the vials and contraption ideas. I'm not going with a hat but you will see why when I debut the coat and hoodie

Thanks. It's hard to see with my studio lights on but it gets pretty bright. A lot more than with that cheap tiny bulb it came with.

I am not going to make a hat. I am going to make something to tie in the cyborg theme that will be placed on the back. I also need to make a cane/weapon. I bought a trench coat and cool hoodie to modernize it a little bit.

Thanks. Glad you like it. Don't know how difficult a kitchen knife would be, just a piece of pvc for the handle and EVA cut out in the shape of the blade.

I am not saying I won't, it's just a complicated build that will take quite sometime to template out. I have a full time job as a teacher and do youtube when I get home at nights. I need a good chunk of time for this. So it may be a while.
