I am going to have to experiment with his hardening method before I criticize it. From the perspective of a western blade smith with 30 yrs experience, I can't see this process working . But I shall try it and see for myself. His hammer method is great, and I love the blower hack of a fan in a antifreeze jug.

Amazing KK Daily, why heat treat just a small portion of the blade? A couple of years after sharpening on stone then all the hardened portion is gone. Why not heat treat half way between the blade and spine? This way, it has lots and lots of years of use.

Tip for ur handle you should put apoxy on the wood when you put in the nails or rivits this will help hold it in place and make it last longer if the rivits break than fill the holes with apoxy and sawdust or just apoxy glue works but you will get a much stronger handle using apoxy also put a type of finish or linseed oil on the grip and let it asorb before protecting it with acrylics it will have a much nicer color and show the grain of the wood
