I love them but mine are always wrinkled... any glue and Gesso ... t hey wrinkle so bad...

I just tripped over this video and I am greatly inspired! I went to a used bookstore, in Prescott, Arizona, and found a jackpot of art magazines for little money. Some I will use to cut out images for junk journals and vision boards. Others I will use as Magazine Art Journals. So excited!!!!!

ooh-- I've seen you use these journals, but I like your inspiration for using a magazine. I like how you 'reverse collage' and cover up what you don't want. I have a couple Stampington Art Quilt magazines and instead of donating them to Goodwill, they're now going to become my next journal!! thank you!

Ive got my magazines glued together, 3 cosmo, unfortunately had nothing that was better so theres alot of pictures of models!

omg DeDe I went to internet to subscribe to Flow. You are using 20.00 to 50.00 magazines!!! You have a 200.00 journal there. ARE YOU CRAZY? I think I just chocked on my carrot. Im not sure I can finish my day. lol I need coffee now. lol

ROFL! I already took out all the cardstock, cards, wrapping paper, post cards, paper dolls, doll houses, etc. This was just what was left over from the magazines. heheh **gives Amy a comforting hug**

How do you keep the pages from wrinkling and buckling when you paint them? Yours look so flat. When i tried it mine were so wrinkled and buckled they looked bad. Suggestions?

Just curious....with the 4 magazine book. Why wouldn't you stick the front cover down first so that the paper you glue to the back can cover the flap that is wrapped around from the front? Just wonderin...

So, I followed along with you and made a magazine journal with 3 magazines. I put it under some quasi heavy boxes for about 2 hours, and when I pulled it out and opened it up the whole middle fell out. 😞 I guess I didn't use enough glue? Or maybe to much, and it got to wet? Any ideas please?

More glue, more drying time :-) Did you glue the front and back covers together?

Yes, I did. It was the middle one that fell out. I'm sure I did something wrong. lol. I will try to glue it back in and leave it alone for 24 hours. Thanks so much for the reply.

I looked up FLOW magazine, and cannot believe how much the subscription prices are! Apparently it is published outside the US. The European costs are crazy! But to get it outside of Europe is over $200/year?????? For only 6 issues!!! Am I missing something??

Yes, it is expensive, I buy it at bookstores and still high. It is published in Netherlands
