In this video I make a miniature abandoned building that's full of desert sand! It's another part of the surreal dreamscape world I've started to create on this channel.

Those God Rays coming through the window (Chef's Kiss). It's great to see the inspector making a cameo as a gigantic Sand Worm from Dune... Plus he even had a speaking line, so now he can get his SAG card. You'll have to pay him more. I think that this series involves The Doors of Perception and Mr. Huxley would be proud indeed. Amazing work, N!

here me out just to always make you feel motivated please do miniature related to films this would actually help grow your channel alot and also give you alot of motivation since we can’t deny thats we need to follow the trend to attract more views then just do whatever you want and you wil still get alot of view since people already love you ! And they stay because of you think like doing miniature from film like a marketing strategy and the person who stay is the one who feel glad to know you keep up the work!

Most of the miniature creators I follow create their dioramas for a variety of reasons but I think you're the only one who creates miniatures specifically for filming and photography. I really appreciate that you always add a little bit about your set up and process in addition to the end results. I personally don't do any sort of filmmaking but I do enjoy seeing the process behind the end result of the video/clip creation in addition to the model making.

omg the shot of the cat was best one. 😂 "Giant Sand Cat discovered in Namibian Desert" Wow, I know nothing about film equipment, but this reminded me of using the "tween" button in animation in Photoshop. (Older PS versions, anyway), but in a "3 dimensional" situation with photography. Always loved the photos of abandoned places in the desert. I spent a lot of time taking pics in these locations. It's like... There is a doubling effect of mood because not only is the structure abandoned, but the land around it as well. [Fun fact for our Physicist friends: This is the same spot in Namibia where Professor Brian Cox did an example on the Second Law of Thermodynamics: Entropy; in one of his BBC documentaries.] I'll stop nerding now. 😁🤭🤓 Great set as always. Love your work!

I really love the idea of a hallway filled with doors that leads you to different worlds. There is a book series called "The Wayward Children" series by Seanan McGuire that has to do with the prospect of opening a door and finding yourself in a different world. Somewhere on the doors is always written "Be Sure", as in be sure before you open the door, and that reminds me of the hallway of doors you were talking about. The sand is mad cool and I would be terrified if I walked through a doorway to find a room like this so fantastic job in that regard too! 🙂

I’ve been doing paintings lately that feel the same way you described. It’s a dimension that lives deep in the mind. I really appreciate everything you make. What a difference using atmosphere a motion have on filming a model. Of course we know this, we’ve been seeing models in film since film began. But seeing you do it all is awesome.

I wasn't expected to see Mr. Inspector after you announced the final shot. Good joke, I liked it. And the idea of some dream world with many doors leading to the different places is awesome! Reminds me about The Talos Principle videogame, I was really excited to explore those decaying worlds behind the doors. I'd really love to see the world of your imagination!

These are surreal, I can picture a dream of abandoned tall apartments that are flooded over with makeshift bridges above and wildlife below. I've had this dream a few times, and each was a different moment. Sunrise, midday, and sunset.

Astrophysicist Professor Brian Cox visited this site for one of his TV shows. It's a seriously eerie site. Another similar place is the abandoned site of the Kola Superdeep Borehole in Russia. That place just gives me the creeps! Gorgeous model, as always. The quality of your work leaves me in awe, every time. Thank you. 👍👍👍

First I starting watching you for the esthetic and hoped to learn a few construction techniques…but wow have I learned a lot about light and shadow. I’ll never be able to work at this type of level but you’re always inspiring me to expand my vision. I love the idea of a dream world…each door a different reality in time and space and dimension. Whenever I see doors in sand I think of Stephen King’s Gunslinger series and this kinda gives me those vibes

Cool! I know this picture! It is in Namibia, I saw a tv show about this place! Love your work! Yep, doors are a classic in fantasy litterature and movies: I think of the door to the Afterlife Office in Beetlejuice, the doors to Narnia, the ones in A Nightmare Before Christmas, not to forget Alice in Wonderland, and I certainly forget a few!!!

New to the channel, love the videos! A cool idea would be an interior shot with a hand coming out of the floor. Maybe you or someone else could stick your hand up through a hole and actually move around while the camera is filming. It could look really strange/dreamlike with the hand being so large in the environment

Pretty kool. I love the idea of shifting sands, so this makes me curious if you would ever try doing old school practical fx like using air bladders or simple motorized functions to add a sense of life. set an air bladder under the sand/earth/behind a wall or under a blanket so as the camera moves you just slight/subtle movement to the clip. Gawd thinking of what you could accomplish with really small/simple water pumps for aquariums to add dripping/draining or small flow to the things you make is in itself pretty mind blowing. I realize for the long term it wouldn't be practical(in the long term) but for footage and demonstrations (ever take these on the road to con's?) it'd open possibilities for all kinds of dream like or fascinating sequences.
