I made an overcook inspired bullet hell game where you're tasked with repairing an elevator. This devlog covers the week long journey for Godot Wild Game Jam 60 #gamedev #godot #pixelart #indiegame #indiegame #coding #videogames
Play the game now for free in browser:

music used:
ocarina of time - kokiri forest
undertale - ruins
nonamenosocks - red cold season
scrap heap summit - intro/exit song (by me)

I love the atention to detail, chuckin the bucket, throwing the spanner and dodging looks fun and the game looks really polished considering it had been made in a week, well done

Thank you, yeah I tend to get lost in the polish, its just really fun to add some of those smaller things I think

That's an incredible amount of polish for a week of development! Like, outdoing many of the commercially released games. What I love even more is your style of creating videos, I could listen to you talking about paint drying for an hour and still feel entertained. :D Keep up the great work!

Looks great! If people are saying that it's fun, I would believe them. The player is always right after all (except when they're not :P). Liked!

I hope so! but I guess some of that is the point of a jam, just to try this kind of weird stuff

this is so cool! In my opinion this just needs a bit of beta-testing with how the attacks feel and mechanics in general and it is perfect.

Great video. The game would make a nice $5-10 quick game. It looks like 75% there. Anyways, good luck on your primary project!

this idea has so much potential. if you can sit down and muscle through the content generation phase of game making, you will get a shippable game that you can sell

What do you think of the idea that instead of a bench, you have an up and down switch you have to hold to move the elevator. The elevator of course wants to kill you. You would have passengers that need to be dropped off on certain floors. You need to keep them alive as well. But while surviving, you also need to keep holding the up/down lever to keep the elevator moving.

Hm, gives me so many ideas for games based on the premise of pacifist bullet hell; a paparazzi with a camera vs hoards of celebrities , a celebrity throwing autographed pictures of himself to hoards of fans, and with heavy metal music an old man narrows his eyes and snarls... before morphing into a giddy grin tossing breadcrumbs at pigeons. Feel free to use any of those ideas especially the last cause I wanna play it but can't program.
