I used to go into Sinclair bagpipes for years on end as a young lad from aged 10 onwards. I was learning the pipes and used to use any excuse to pop in for “old” Mr Sinclair to sort my chanter or pipes. Amazing man and always happy to help. I was tempted on many many occasions to ask him to teach me bagpipe making........I never did and regret it big time now. Glad you had the opportunity to learn from an amazing bagpipe maker. Keep up the good work 👍🎼

There’s something relaxing about watching a craftsman turning something on a lathe.

Spending time working at the lathe, seems like a peaceful and meditative activity. If nothing else, you got me interested in getting one of my own.

Muy buen video, hasta se ve como si fuera algo sencillo, gran artesano. Very good video, even looks like it was something simple, great craftsman.

I cringe when I watch all that material coming off the stock knowing that there is little margin for error. Great artist/craftsman at work!

I would like to have one for my collection. Do you do custom soles and bowles?

What materials are you turning for the chanter? And how do you know where to drill the finger holes? Can you recommend a school or workshop where I can learn how to do this, assuming I have a few years experience on the lathe?
