What happens when you need an inch and three quarters adjustment because it worked over a desk for 35 years

This is very good, but are there maximum adjustments? Is 1-5/8" rounded back adjustment too much? I guess I'll find out...

That would be a very large adjustment. We'd suggest starting with no more than an inch in a muslin that you could then use to add more if still needed as illustrated on page 3 of our Common Fitting Adjustments for the Tabula Rasa Jacket.
