My wife offered me a screenprint printing kit for my birthday, so I could print my own "The Redsmith" t-shirt for my oline shop.
I need to print two colors but only have one screen, so I decided to make a printing press to hold the screen and make repetitive printing, but also be able to reverse the screen on the press. Doing so, I'll be able to print two colors on the same spot (and this will be shown in the next video)
I used upcycled materials for this build (bed parts and plywood I found in the streets). The only parts I bought were the hinges and the vertical handle toggle clamp.
The build is pretty straight forward. It's just a frame resting on a board, with two positioning blocks and higes to lift the frame up. The press doesn't need to be pretty, just serve it purpose. I put three coats of polyurethane to protect the press from time and paint.

Wow. The music editing was masterful! Running your fingers across the cut wood pieces as the guitar was strummed. And all the jump cuts. Just wow. Also, great build!

I love your press design! I'm a fellow screen printer and this is the first design I've seen that 'holds' the screen. it would make multi-colored prints really easy!!! Thanks for the inspiration. :D

J'ai déjà vu plusieurs kits de screenprint mais souvent ils demandent beaucoup de travail manuel si tu veux des grandes quantités. Une bonne idée de projet serait d'essayer d'automatiser ca avec une arduino ou un truc du genre :p

Thank you very much. I need to print two colors on my t-shirts, and on the same spot, to match my intro design. SO I thought a press would be the best way to have to screen on the right spot. You'll see how it works in the next video :)

The frame dimensions depends on the size of the frame in your kit. Everything is in it so you don't need anymore. Otherwise you need a drill, screws, glue and a saw :) Thanks for watching
