If my memory serves me right , such a lure cut from round metal is called a "slab spoon". Great idea about cutting it from a screw to get some structure to the lure. I am not familiar to that electrolytic coating of the lure, I have always utilized a soldering burner to heat the stainless steel to glow and then quench it in water to achieve that blue and brown color , that your lure blank showed from the heat of cutting. Such lures are great for casting , can by fished both on retrieve and also vertically. Best regards from Germany , Dieter

Hello, I looked at the shape of the spinner from the legendary Kastmaster, coated the bait with alkaline electrolyte for copper plating, it protects it from corrosion, then additionally coated it with varnish Sincerely, Pavlo, Ukraine

@@CopperFishLure Corrosion is a big problem, that's why I've always used stainless steel , copper and brass sheet for my homemade metal lures, no ordinary steel. Copper and brass tends to tarnish fast, though, but on sunny days such dull lures often are of advantage, and if I want them shiny again , I'd just polish them with some mud from the bank and my fingers.

Thank you, everything is done purely by eye, if the bait turns out to be very catchy then in a new video I will show the exact dimensions with the right angles, which I do all the time, many experts watch me

For the REALLY NEW novice, please answer two questions: 1. What is the official name of the blue reamer you used? When I'm trying to find it online, I've got to have a name to start with. 2. I make the assumption the blue liquid you used in electrolysis was a copper sulfate. Any particular strength to the mixture?

Hello, I used an alkaline electrolyte for copper plating, it can be used to coat plain iron with copper

It Would be great to make these from large size Bolts as well. After Thought....These might actually be more effective than a Regular Kastmaster Lure; same type shape, BECAUSE....you could smear Berkley power bait across the Threads , filling them up, thus leaving a sent trail.
