I'm finally binding my seasonal grimoire!
Beginning at the Winter Solstice 2021, I started creating junk journal grimoire signatures for each of the 8 sabbats of the witches, and this vlog is spanned across the 4 days it took me to create a cover design and sew them together.

Your Junk Journal is amazing! enjoyed seeing how you put it together. E6000 glue is a great craft glue for permanent bonds.

This is beautiful! Just a tip, you can use hot glue with the tacky glue to help get quick hold while the other sets up. And you could always make smaller books that go inside a box (like a boxed set of books) if you didn't want to sew all those signatures in a big book, BUT this is so cool and such a hunk of goodness!!!❤

I am in my second year of creating junk journals. I just finished a 4 signature 160 page Book of Shadows/Grimoire for my shop. 4 sigs is the most I've ever done. It's so amazing that you did 14! I'm very impressed with your patience and skill. Your calmness even when you realize you forgot or missed something helps me appreciate that 'mistakes' happen to us all and can be 'fixed' with just a little thought. Thank you for showing me this video... My Grimoire is about the same size as this book you maded... Mine is 7 signitures and one spare book for extra pages... But not sewen in but put in with string.. Glad to see I'm not the only one with a thick book.... Love your journal book....

Actually now that you mention it, I did have a bookmark with a celestial sun that said 2000 on it when I was a kid… maybe my subconscious took over 🤔

I stand by wood glue! I know it seems crazy, but it is so good for so many things! I successfully used it on my own Junk Journal BOS/Grimoire and have also used it to adhere crystals to wands. E6000 I know is the go too, but it has cancer causing agents. I have tried tacky glue in the past but find it not as strong a bond. Lovely book, thank you for sharing.

You could have kept the Tacky glue to the center, and put a thin perimeter of hot glue around the edges to hold it in place. Then still use books, etc to hold it in place well. Just a thought.🤷‍♀️

What kind of sewing needle did you use? When I try this it rips the paper or breaks the needle

I used a yarn needle to poke holes with foam underneath the paper. Then I used a much smaller sewing needle to sew.
