In this video, I show you how to make a wooden door, a very solid wood door with a modern design, I hope you enjoy this video!
I built not one, but four of this beautiful doors, this project took me around one month to complete, the client was so happy with the result so I was!

the author does like to from scratch, shaping and trimming wood from large blocks into fine finished products. kzfaq.infoUgkxD-QRFQz730FJEh4f9BYSf-nkIMIC9hL_ as another reviewer mentioned, most projects require a lot of high-dollar equipment that most of us dont have the room or budget for. But, knowing how to do these things, even if we wont be able to practice the full stack project, is still great.

The projects at the end of the book are valuable for enhancing your skills and creating your own furniture. A digital platform linked to the book that could offer the plans for other woodworking projects with the cut sheets would have been a nice addition, but overall, the book is excellent.

I’m impressed. I’ve made a few doors in my day. Probably was paid a lot more than this guy. Interesting casing on the jamb. Better reflects the style and rail configuration. Interesting. I’ve not seen that before. I appreciate the amount of work involved there. 👍👍👍

I’m doing a carpentry joinery apprenticeship, which has mostly consisted of hard labour, sweeping & tidying up and now hand tools. Loved the way you made that door frame. It was simple, with not much hassle. In my country they use wood beams (5"x5") to make the frames. They have to cut the notch so as to make the door fit on it when closed and it takes a lot of trial and error, not to mention time. Also, it makes the frame expensive, unnecessarily thick and heavy, providing very little in over-all strength. I loved that here, you used what I guess are 1"x5" wood planks to make the frame and screwed it right in the wall and then nailed thin wood strips to make the door sit on it. IMO, I found this method of door framing much easier and cost effective...

Beautiful and thoughtfully consistent aesthetics and impressive freehand router skills, buddy. I'd take a little bit more time and fixture the vertical tenon cuts. You want to keep all of those skilled fingers intact for many years to come. 🙂

As always, an excellent job. Your attention to detail is what makes your videos fun to watch (like the small cutout on the piece of trim 17:35 .) Great router work. You’re braver than I am, using it freehand. 5 weeks for these doors! Impressive.
