I'm an union iron worker/welder. I just wanted to say if you use a wire-wheel on the grinder instead of a grinding block to get that rust off, it is much faster and clears the rust a lot more effectively. Loved the video brother. Cheers!

Commento inutile. Se non sei del mestiere evita commenti. Se lavorassimo le lame con l'attrezzo che dici, rimarrebbero rigature troppo profonde rovinando la lama, poi bisogna fare troppo lavoro di lucidatura consumando più corrente più attrezzi ed è uno spreco di tempo.

¡Respeto al maestro! Puedo agregar. Para remachar un remache, primero debes golpear su extremo con el otro extremo del martillo, no con el romo. Y cuando el remache se deshaga, utiliza el extremo romo de un martillo para redondearlo. Es recomendable realizar agujeros para remaches del mismo tamaño que el remache (sin hueco). Gracias, es un placer ver un excelente trabajo, un excelente Maestro con mayúscula. Estoy mirando desde Rusia. ¡Buena suerte, salud y todo lo mejor!

Per imparare a fare qualsiasi cosa ci vuole tempo e dedizione, col passare del tempo si diventa sempre più bravi basta non mollare. Questo tizio non è un genio, e una persona normalissima che ha imparato ad usare gli attrezzi per il suo lavoro. Se hai voglia impari altrimenti rimarrai solo uno che scrive cose inutili su KZfaq

Buenas leandro, te descubrí ayer noche buscando informacion de como hacerme un machete para el campo y vi el vídeo del kukri que hiciste y gracias a ti descubri que la mejor opcion para aprovechar acero es el usar las ballestas, haces un trabajo estupendo, menos mal que sigue habiendo artesanos de verdad, saludos y un abrazo desde españa, animo y a seguir para arriba ❤

Para los machetes es preferible mantener bajo peso, usar ballestas me parece muy pesado, pero las hay de mucho menor grosor o puede usar discos grandes de carpintería o espadas de motosierras, etc. Agradezco mucho su visita! saludos.

This turned out awesome! Just a heads up to save you some time and dust clean up, the forge will actually burn off that rust. There's no need to grind it off. Keep up the great work!

Yes, the temperature certainly cleans it, I have been able to verify it. But it is much easier to give it a once-over with the grinder to remove large rust. Thank you for your comment 👍

Minuto 20: 50 esos orificios se hacen muy bien con brocas sacabocados solo que no les falte el agua cuando estan cortando para que no se calienten

Bonjour, et bon dimanche Leandro. J'étais content de découvrir ta vidéo que j'attendais avec impatience depuis ton dernier poste. Et je ne suis pas déçu, tu as fait un superbe travail, ton design du trench knife et très réussi, on voit que c'est un couteau robuste, mets pas massif. Tu as des mains en or... et encore merci pour les plans que tu as donné gentiment car je voudrais bien essayer de le refaire même si cela va être dur car car j'ai un tout petit peu de matériel. Vu les tests que tu as pratiqué sur ton couteau on voit qu'il est très résistant. Bonne journée Leandro, j'attends avec impatience ta prochaine video. Amicalement depuis la France, FABIEN 🗡🗡🗡

Excellent design and execution of knife making. I do wish there was a cleaner delineation between the treated and rough part of the blade. But that's just me. I like attention to detail. Something I usually see in all your knife projects. Overall, well done Sir 👏👍

Why when drilling finger holes u didt just use a larger bit say inch with oil ?
