Making an Amish style yarn swift

Күн бұрынIn this video I work with my daughter to make an Amish style yarn swift for rewinding yarn from a loose skein into a compact ball for knitting. This design is ideal for occasional use as it is easy to dismantle and store when it isn't needed.

Lovely video, Alan! I'm a friend of your daughter's from our uni days (we both got into yarn crafts at around the same time) and I recently made myself a swift, so she shared your video with me. Beautiful!

Thanks for your kind remarks. You might have noticed that there was no video of actually drilling the peg holes. Laura did this using a drill press, but didn't wish to be filmed. She did a fine job though :)
