Nice one dude, what a great wood build to start, have fun with that board, epoxy will protect from minor stuff if you surf again. If you don't wanna wax (which is smart since it's art) , try getting some plastic webbing under the feet/suit, you know like how they make socks with grip underneath....won't hurt the board and you could actually surf proper...

Leaving a little bit of the wood at the top is a great choice. It shows off that this isn't just a piece of art on a surfboard, but that the surfboard itself is also a piece of art. Well done, both of you!

The mixing of the audio during the "horror story-esque" speech about the lake michigan sea serpent was actually phenomenal. I'd love to see you direct a horror movie one day. The imagery, sounds and editing all around were so much fun.

You can use a heat gun or torch to help the epoxy level out better. Just make sure not to hold it too close to cause additional waving.
