So I recently bought this "Mystery" Motor and after inspection that it was fully rebuilt and passing all of compression and inspection tests it was time to make it look as good as it was built!

Chris if you want nuts & bolts to look like new OEM try using a Caswell product. Caswell has a black oxide concentrate along with their penetrating sealer. Adds a nice original touch to my projects. Company videos on line.

Im doing the same to a 98 mountineer donar into my 91 foxbody. After you let the rust killer sit overnight did you do anything else? Or did you just treat it as primer and paint your main color over it?

Everything was done in Dupli-color engine enamel

Beautiful job love your channel you break things down really well.hey maybe you can help me. I bought this 1990 mustang 5.0 engine used with low miles. But when I took the spark plugs off there was some oil only on the threads. What do you think it might be need a new valve gasket or something else. Please help me thanks

sounds like valve gaskets could be dripping down there. If the car has low miles and has never had them changed chances are they have dried out some. They are easy enough to change!

Hi I wanted to know if you can help me. I bought a used low mile engine and transmission 1990 5.0 gt. I have it out the car sitting on a dolly in my garage. It’s going to sit there for about 6 years I’m putting it in my factory Five roadster. Should put 2 quarts in the engine and rotate it once a week so the engine won’t mess up also what about the transmission do I put gear oil in it too. Please lmk I don’t know what to do thanks

As long as you have it stored indoors you don't really have much to worry about. Engines can sit for a long time as long as they are sealed and out of the elements
