I know *very little* about Chinese woodworking, but I was expecting at least that the bottom part, with the frame and panel, have a pair of sliding dovetails to anchor the frame to the panel. the *style* is certainly very traditional, but how about the way you've made it?

great work, well done, looks stunning. but ... this is 100% european joinery, even if you use japanese tools, it doesnt make it ancient chinese. the only chinese on this box is the dude who made it and the signs you burned in it. might overthink the title next time. but like i said, great skills and really nice clean joinery! 👍
