Very cool. I love fossils. I will be trying this method. I wonder if cornstarch would prevent a real fossil from sticking. I will find out

I really loved your fossil plates. I'm just starting with ceramics. i can't figure out why the fossils have a dark color since they have wax resist on them and you didn't mention having colored them before. Is that color have something to do with the glass? I woul certainly appreciate you explanation. Thank you.

Yes, the glass makes the darker color. The glass looks clear when I put it on the plates, but after it's fired it's dark. It doesn't really make sense!
