@@em_the_bee I am excited about the ability to generate ideas quickly. I can see if a lyric idea fails quickly. I have already blown away lyrics that just did not work. In the past I would have to build up a track for a lyric I have written, sing it or find a singer, only to find out the song was just not great. Also I have already done some mashups of styles to get music that is exciting and does not sound like anything out there right now.

You can still use Ai in the recording you're taking the "you can't copyright Ai" thing way too literally". Like thinking you cant use a loop library because you can't copyright it "when you use the loops straight with no editing". And there's a perfectly valid case to make that there's so much you can do in creating the Ai track that it also counts as human input., so it's only a matter of time that a 100% AI music will be ruled as copyrightable. It may well already be, we just need a court case to really confirm it

Loops are fine, my reference to not using AI output was about not being able to use purely the AI tool output. For example, I could not take the trap beat that Suno generated and place it in a tv show and claim ownership/royalties, because a court has already ruled that AI-generated content cannot be copyrighted. And, most music libraries refuse to accept AI-generated content in the first place. BUT, using AI content as PART of a project is fine and legal, but music libraries still want to know about it. Why? People are concerned about being sued because someone somewhere is going to sue claiming that a loop sounds too similar to one of the billions of songs out there in existence. I agree with you, I think AI music will eventually be made copyrightable in the courts. The courts generally stink when it comes to the creative arts. Just ask Katy Perry or Ed Shearan. :)

Why is AI so focused on hiphop? If you don’t have the swagger to produce hiphop beats from the heart change genres . AI producers are ruining the creative sanctity of hiphop.

I don't think AI is focused on hip hop, it's just that hip hop is incredibly easy to recreate, especially trap beats. AI is really good at heavy metal rock, romantic classical piano, and is getting better at jazz. There are plenty of human producers absolutely trashing the hip hop scene today, just listen to Hip Hop Nation on SiriusXM for ten minutes to hear just how low the hip hop bar has fallen. I'm old school and remember when the message mattered... now it's just about how raunchy and shocking people can be.
