Making Beef and Cheese Braciole like a Nonna!

Braciole is a classic Italian favourite that's sure to please the whole family. Tender slices of beef or pork are rolled up with savory fillings like Parmesan cheese, parsley and garlic before being braised in an irresistible tomato-based sauce. Serve it over pasta, or Polenta with a side of sauteed vegetables. Either way there'll be no leftovers!
Slices of the top round (topside) can be quite large so if they are, you'll want to cut them to make it the perfect size to accommodate two slices of prosciutto. It needs to be pounded to be thin and tenderised.
Braciole offers something special for any occasion; whether you're looking for a hearty weeknight dinner idea or prepping ahead of time for entertaining guests this traditional dish packs all sorts delicious flavours into one impressive main course.

Yeah recipe short and to the point if you can read what the ingredients are, video is to quick and would have liked to be at least 10 minutes or more with what you need and what had to be done to the ingredients, meat rolled up was to much and not enough filling and it should have been baked/cooked in the oven for a thicker sauce, but I must say it did look good

I had a friend whose Italian grandfather made this dish, the meat was already sliced into bite-size pieces when cooked. it was so good I remember the meat practically melting in my mouth bc It was so tender. No Italian restaurant makes this dish in my area, I will try this recipe. He also made a soup I can’t remember the name but it had fish heads and was tomatoe base but y’all… it was and still is the best soup I ever tasted - I can’t find this recipe either I won’t give up hope though 😄

I’m making this today for Sunday lunch Always wondered what exactly it was and how it was done. Love the bit at the end with the dog, my dogs exactly the same with I make a lamb roast dinner, she stares at me then takes the bone and walks off with it, probably quietly chewing for the next hour or so,

Imma try this soon. Haven't had my Nonon's braciole in almost 20 yrs since she passed. She always used pine nuts and it I think she cooked it longer as it was fork tender.
