Back during the plastic gen, I remember owning a few fake beyblades with lighter flints on their weight disc. Their weight disc is very circular, very heavy, and has holes in which lighter flint is inserted and glued. They produce a lot of sparks upon hitting each other.

I had one oversized fake Beyblade that had a motorized fan so it would stay up and spinning until the batteries run out, and a few flashing LEDs. But this is making it ridiculous and removes any competitiveness. It was more of a curiosity than anything else. During the first gen there was a lot of weird fake Beyblades and Beyblade-like products. I especially liked the tiny (about 2.5cm diameter) ones that would launch with a coiled spring rather than a cord, as they were very portable and you could play with other kids anywhere. Also they were fast enough to damage plastic items and make a whooshing noise when spinning despite small size. And almost indestructible and really cheap, but not very detailed. But the launchers got busted really quickly as everyone was overwinding them and the teeth that held the top in place before launching broke off.

I know I'm late but you could probably revisit this idea later if not soon, using rage/guilty Longinus and Brave Valkyrie (savior is a little janky), the big contact points, opposite spin, and huge rebound potential would make this nifty and possibly make the sparks last longer.

Noah's child like fascination with sparks makes my day. I think you could get even bigger sparks with aggressive drivers like exceed' with/without +x and +z chips or xtreme'

You know, I haven’t gotten back to beyblade in a while. I just didn’t like the new concept of the Beyblade Burst on release. Battles went from a good minute to roughly 20 seconds. I loved the Metal Fusion to Shogun Steel lineup the most out of all of them. I still own a lot of those older beyblades from the late 2000’s to mid 2010’s From Lightning L-Drago to Dark Knight Dragoon.

I dunno, I actually preferred the HMS line. They could actually go toe-to-toe with the Metal Fight line, and the dual rotation was awesome.

I feel like this should be a series called "How Many Ways Can I Possibly Either Damage or Ruin my Beyblades". In all honesty I'm surprised TT didn't think of this during the Metal Saga where the sparks were more prominent compared to Burst but hey, this video is still enjoyable.

The only reason it didn't happen is because TT thought it was "unsafe". If the metal wheels were made of steel or iron instead of die-cast zinc alloy, the beys would actually spark.

Back in plastic gen there was a weight disk which had sandpaper wrapped around it and it was really wide, wider than almost every blade base. In HMS there was a Beyblade which had sandpaper inside it for sparks Good ole days

When I was a kid, one day I was playing with my Dragoon GT and Dranzer GT and in one match, they hit so hard they actually sparked. I have yet to pull that off since.

when I was a kid I remember buying bblades with flint attached to them. they had little pockets on the blades where you could fit one of those lighter flints, they sparked sometimes, not even every battle but it was fun before they broke off. Also I won't recommend modding them like this because you'll need to literally drill a hole on the bblade Now I think we could've replaced them but no one thought of that.
