I printed this in resin and forgot to hollow out the front end, needless to say it ate a ton of resin and has some decent weight, making it really front heavy. Lesson learned..... Really awesome files and printed perfectly.

I have a question for you. Right now I’m working on my electrostaff purge trooper costume but I have a problem. The 501st CRL requires the electrostaff, but I’m not sure how to make it. I can’t find any accurate 3D models for it. Any advice for me?

For the electricity part I'd suggest maybe some purple fairy lights or something in that nature.

Amazing work. Have u thought about drilling out the front of the scope and fixing in a small magnifying glass lens for the full scope affect?

Should Bondo spot putty used for seams be done before or after the resin coating?

Rub n Buff helps a LOT for doing silver weathering and it's a better alternative to using silver spray paint. It also comes in other colors like gold and bronze! Just throwing out there

People can mistake the blaster as a real gun unless the orange tip is seen which means that’s it’s not a real gun.

*Back in the 80s kids were being shot by police officers because of really realistic toy guns so they started making them in bright colors or just an orange tip and now every fake gun has the orange tip.*

Most comic cons have a rule where you have to have an orange tip so they can tell that it’s fake and not real

CA? I use Gorilla glue and it holds better than I could have imagined. It does expand so it requires clean up. Also, if you want reference there is this movie called Return of the Jedi. Check there.

I really don’t get the whole “put an orange tip on so people don’t think it’s a real firearm” thing. What’s to stop people putting orange tips on actual firearms?
