When pouring into containers I find using a jug with a spout or lip is the best way to avoid spillage and wasting precious oil. It just makes sense.

I would like to thank you and acknowledge your beautiful introduction honouring the process ❤. I had so much trouble with spillage so I bought a few large syringes at my local chemist/ pharmacy and have used it to suck up the warm beeswax oil and squirt it into my containers. It stopped spillage and the tins are filled more or less equally. Whilst the syringe could be a little warm to the touch, because I can work faster the contact is minimal and job gets done quickly. Since this was a trial and it works well I will be looking for a stainless steel food syringe next for long term usage and no plastic use. Another tip is to use baking / parchment paper under the tins which can be reused many times. I could not scrape the cold beeswax off my counters without leaving residue behind.

I didn’t see you stir the wax in well with the calendula oil. I would gently stir (with a wood skewer)just to achieve consistency or quality control in all those little jars. Thank you for the lovely video. All the very best🙌🏼🕊

Thank you. I can’t wait to make a calendula salve. I have a question though. My calendula plants have powdery mildew. Can I spray them with diluted neem oil, water and soap? Will the neem affect the properties of the flowers? Thanks!

Hi there, a few tips on growing Calendula: space the plants 8-12 inches for better air circulation, rotate annual flowers each year. Deb doesn't plant Calendula in the same beds for 3-4 years, your soil may need more minerals and compost. Soil health is essential for supporting healthy plants. Keep your garden tools washed before using them each time when you have health issues with plants. Hope this helps!
