In this video I show you how to make your desired cheat codes apply automatically when you start the game and how to set shortcuts for them so they'll be easier to use. We're creating a userStartup.cheat file and I'm also showing you what's in mine!

#1 I double-checked my file but some of the cheats simply don’t work!
- A lot of cheats are pack-specific and are not available if you don’t have a certain extension pack installed, you may want to consider that. To find out which cheats you can use, check out the full list linked above.
#2 Can I do this on Mac?
- Yes, just swap the Windows specific things with their iOS counterparts. But keep in mind some cheats will not work for you because of the unavailability of certain expansion packs for Mac. See previous question and link above.

i do have plans for that, but until i do, i recommend you check out other youtubers who have already done videos like these, such as Pleasant Sims, CozyPixels or Jules Can't Build!

@@seryhartuasry using the userStartup.cheat file add "floatProp tvVolume 0.3" (without the ") at the top of the notepad file before your alias cheats here's an example: floatProp tvVolume 0.3 alias ff "familyfunds" "shortened command for FamilyFunds" if you're still unsure see celebkiriedhel's forum post from leefish[.]nl[/]mybb[/]showthread[.]php?tid=3462 (to use the link above remove the brackets) 😊

I typed testing cheats enabled in the same way as you did, but it didn't work. I have to type it in differently into the game too. Is this common for a lot of people? This is fascinating.

it doesnt work, i have the exact same version of the sims as you i downloaded it just like you did but the game wont recogise my userstartup file :( the only cheats i put on the folder is boolprop testingcheatsenabled true and boolprop useShaders true

but i cant even open the cheat box T0T whenever i press the usual keys compnation it just takes a screenshot i thought this could replace me needing the cheat box in the first place and working around this problem just why cant i find anything about this?! do i have to play without cheats forever?! 😰😭

Can I use cheats that I have to complete as alias? (e.g familyFunds [family name] [value] or setHour [Time])?

yes, you can, i used to question this too but i have seen others do it since. i think all you need to do is pay attention to keep the words in brackets as they are in the original cheat, other than that you can shorten the non-bracketed word of the cheat how you like
