You could get a basic setup for around $100-$150 for the tools. The materials wouldn't be much more on top of that. That being said you would need to use a drill in place of the lathe. 😁👍

This is awesome I wished I could afford too… But this was a great video… I love to see the whiskey barrel ring blanks made into a looking ring… Maybe do some cool engraving design… Or even split the wood blanks and make some cool earrings with horoscope signs…. That’s just my thought on what I think you should do….

I am not gonna lie... I got a little jealous seeing you open that box lol... I am just getting into the hobby and spent yesterday turning down .75 cent hardware store nuts into ring blanks so I had some blanks to play with lol and no... I don't have a quick change...so it was a little annoying lol Great video though

@GomeowCreations looks like you forgot to pull off the top clear plastic on Dichrolam. Bottom one is easy top one is a batch.

I just tried that on a left over piece and it just takes all the color off if you do that. Idk if these ones are different from the knife ones but taking that off just ruin the piece. I could be wrong seeing this is the first time working with it

That's fine and you can use these same techniques using metal cores like stainless steel, titanium, silver and even gold.
