Designed & Handcrafted by SANG BLEU
"8cc Bi-fold Wallet Alligator version"
*Note: We will not reveal all of the technical things to craft this specific SLG. Please don't ask the things we've not specified in these videos.
Do not copy any of the designs of the Atelier SANG BLEU, all rights are reserved to the Atelier SANG BLEU.
This artwork was a bespoke order from one of my customers.
Made out of Special type Chevre & HCP(TCIM) Alligator leather and the Initial stamp + renewal design stamping option was added.
All of the leathers that are used and the way of making this luxurious leatherwork are the same as the French luxury leather brands.
No cheap fabrics were used and no bare flesh sides have remained on the backside. All of the parts are fully leather-lined and it is not an easy process to achieve the linear slim thickness between several layers of leather. This is one of the reasons that French luxury leather goods are expensive.

As my Grandmother used to say, 'just to put a bug in your ear'... in other words, a suggestion... There's a Ukrainian leathercrafter, Serge of Tissoleather leathercraft, who also produces work here on The YT. He and his family have been badly affected by the war; he's still able to produce leatherwork at this point. Maybe you could give him a boost (there are links to his paypal & Ko-fi accounts on his latest video) or do a collaboration? I don't know, I admire both of your work and am learning so much from you both... I just thought I'd put the information out there... Thanks, C.

But I don't have any plan for the collab with some other artisans yet (And I'm not that high level of KZfaqr yet 😅) Anyways, I wish people in Ukraine including him could endure such a tragic time because of the war... 🙏🏻 Thank you for the heartwarming information.🙏🏻

I learn something new every time I watch (because, somewhere in my future, is a Hermes style Birkin - with bespoke built-in pockets and a contrasting suede interior - waiting to be built). As for support for Serge - just watch his videos? Hit the like? Drop an encouraging word? All that stuff? If you watch his back catalogue of videos you can see the up-swing he was going through in his video productions and editing techniques. Anyways. Many thanks, That's not necessary if it is not the hard Italian veg-tanned leather. For the supple and luxurious leathers, it is not needed

Thank you! That was the beeswax-based cream for leather which was from a French brand. I use them because beeswax buffing ends up with a little bit of tacky surface that collects the dust. With this cream coat, smooth, shiny, and thin beeswax remains on the surface without tackiness ;)

probably single ounce. I don't know why he won't reveal "his techniques" although none of the techniques are his to begin with. His wallets look machine-made anyway, somehow he kept the handcrafted element out of it.

Thinning out the leather and making it double sided is one lvl above the rest wow. Now I wonder how much $ did you charged the client for this piece of art? I work with leather but doing car interior. Recently I made a wallet for myself and loved it, loved the process and the result even more. And I ask you this question cuz I am looking to orient myself. Getting to your lvl of craftsmanship will be quite hard thou, but not impossible for me and maybe this lvl of detail will remain for myself. Clients able to pay for this kind of work are 1 in a million, especially here in Bulgaria hehe.

Why not use some of the alligator that has smaller scale patterns?

Hmm... In fact, this was the suitable scale pattern for this design. But even if we want to use the smaller one sometimes, each and every alligator has different sizes and scale patterns just like the fingerprint. So, sometimes they look a bit bigger than the alligator's size and sometimes are smaller.

No, that was custom made knife and not for sale😅 The knife itself is not important if they are sharp enough suits to your hand skills, I use a Blanchard knife as well for skiving 😉

Thanks a lot! Unfortunately, to prevent the copy products(imitations) of our designs, we do not sell the Exquis Maroquinerie/ Petit SB designs. Красиво, аккуратно, но! Много важных моментов в видео не показаны и я не могу понять зачем, вернее как это работает, что после покраски торцов мастер наносит воск. Крашу торцы профессиональной краской для торцов и никаких паяльников, никаких тряпочек и темболее никаких восков - наждачка и палец всё что нужно до идеального блеска!!!

Sorry, I don't speak Russian. Used translator but I could not fully understand what you try to say. But, for the wax finishing, that is not just for the shining. Major role was for the water resistance + durability and the shine control was like the little advantage.

I use a professional water-based edge paint, I tried to smooth it with a warm soldering iron - it does not work. I apply as many layers as necessary, process with fine sandpaper, and when I already see that a good result is, I smooth my hands with my finger without a rag. You have a wax-based paint, what kind of paint do you use? Thanks for the answer.
