I think my favorite was the anaconda speakers or the 2023 boom box.. I bet there will be an endless aplication for it....amazing... I can see it now, your B75 will be a sound system with a boat, instead of a boat with a sound system., good luck Berieng for finding soulutions in order to fit Rico's sound system... Outdoor sound is a lot more challenging in terms of producing sufficient lower frequency levels because you don't have the advantage of room gain. A lot of it escapes out in the air instead of getting reflected back at your ears. Plus, you're also battling against wind noise. So I think in general, you should have the beefier speakers/subs outside and have the more compact ones indoors.

We use K-Array in our custom AV systems for our clients Rico and when we do the system demo for them, they are always completely blown away. Great choice for your disco on the water.

4 subwoofers is a must for any open space like a boat deck as there isnt any room gain like their demo room and im sure its a near perfect sound space where a boat is about as far from it as you can get

That flexible rope speaker was crazy.

I agree that in an outdoor setting that you will need more bass than you think. A few sealed 12-15" subs will give you plenty for most applications (just make sure they are adjusted and tuned correctly so they don't cancel each out or create weird nulls or spikes (dual subs do have the potential to do that). A ported sub will give you more rumble, but that is more applicable in a home theater than a music setup. If the sub goes down to 25Hz or so, that's all you need for music. The advantage of using multiple subs in any area is that you don't necessarily make lower bass, but you increase the bass coverage, so as you move around the space (the rear deck of your boat for example) there is a larger bass "sweet-spot" if you will. This is just the nature of subwoofers. Indoor is a similar story, but it's easier to control everything, so you need a bit less oomf! As far as the smaller satellites that handle the mid and high frequencies, I would go with those larger black ones they had on the wall next to the other very small speakers. If you can. (placement might be more difficult) The reason for using those (I would still combine them with a sub) is that they are going to produce a smoother and more level response at all frequencies. A very small speaker paired with a sub can have a dip in the mid-range frequencies because there is no mid-sized driver. Im sure some of these issues can be corrected with an equalizer or a technology called DSP, but who knows how effective that will be as far as the end result is concerned. It would definitely be good to see an EQ measurement of the speakers using something like REW (Room EQ Wizard), even if it is just in the listening space/showroom you showed in the video. Make sure there are no major dips or spikes. And if there are, get assurances that they can be fixed in the final installation and setup, If they are able to give you a nice smooth frequency response using those smaller satellites then go for it!. That will make installation easy and the cosmetic look pretty amazing!!

Wow. This is awesome! In my experience you need twice as many speakers in a boat as you think. There’s no reason to do it twice and you can always turn it down. 😂🎉 With this system playing you’re truly going to be the DJ of the sea, so I really believe the boat should be named “Sea J” it just fits. Lol

Great video! Tuscany is a feast for the senses between the flavors of the food and wine; the beauty of the scenery; and now the sounds of K Array! Rico should offer third party consults by putting together recommendation sheets by room, including the dance deck. Now decide on a modest digital laser show for your dance deck. (Most men look better in the dark with flashing lights. We need all the help we can get ;-)

It’s a shame it doesn’t carry through on KZfaq, but the tech and idea is their! Very cool speakers.. and I’m team Ricko, never enough bass speakers!

Had A Dj Disc Changer With Cross Over And Seperator. In All With Bose Speakers 6 Total From Tweeters To Bass. Love , This Build And Enjoy Rico`s Energy When It Comes To The Sound System .To , turn A Simple Room Into A Concert Hall With A Innovative System. This , Is So Cool Love It.

I’m not gonna dis their products but it’s more of a car stereo sound, which might translate to exterior sound on a yacht, with subwoofers masking the weak mids. I would consider using actual floor standing speakers inside the yacht, for impressive sound, although these can be very expensive. Thanks for the awesome videos.

Rico, did they talk about what materials they used for speaker drivers? And the crossover point between the slim speakers and subwoofer has got to be up there around 100Hz? And how did you rate the super secret tour with THAT lunch?! Must have been Victoria's charm!

I would recommend 4 of the medium narrow white speakers for the main lounge and mounting two on each side of the lounge with a medium subwoofer and one medium narrow speaker in the kitchen area. Then install good sound in the bow and aft decks with subwoofers on the port and starboard sides of both aft decks. In the cabins I would recommend the smallest narrow speakers for ambient sound with no subwoofers perhaps one in the bedroom and one in the bathroom in each cabin, you could hide them behind canvas art prints if you put rubber bumpers on the back of the frames to create a space between the frame and wall so people cannot tell were the sound is coming from. In the VIP I would put in two of the small speakers one on each side of the bedroom area and in the Owners Cabin, I would do two of the Medium Narrow Speakers and a Small Subwoofer and one small speaker in each bathroom. I have never heard of anyone putting in booming subwoofers in private cabins on a charter or cruise ship as it will annoy the other guests.

That’s even small for a cd changer Victoria. It’s more like the size of a modern Blu-ray. I am gonna look into these. They are really cool. I’m scared to see how much they are😂

All of this is amazing, but one thought keeps coming back to my mind. If I were another yacht owner, I don't think I would want to be anywhere near you in a marina. I love music, but am not interested in being blasted off the face of the earth. LOL. I think you know what I am saying as to how intrusive noise can be on/near the water. When/where will you ever use all that volume? Just curious.
