The plaintiff says the defendant is his nephew, who he had added to his cell phone account. He claims the defendant stopped paying his bill, so he’s suing him for the balance due. The defendant says his uncle was a tyrant when it came to living together, and he was only two days late on paying his uncle back.

He likes to get a lot of glory in buying gifts for people and taking them out to eat he'll buy all types of electronics and stuff then when he's broke he'll sell the stuff for really cheap or if he can return it back to walmart or where ever and do it all over again. The worst part about it is he'll bring it up to us like "Remember that time we went to Mi Rancho and I paid I need that money back now" or "Remember that thing I bought you I need it back because I need money or you can pay me what GameStop will trade it in for." He always has something to say and has to be the center of attention for everything it's annoying. Danny's grandmother is a nice lady that doesn't mind us coming over at all. I think you are looking at it extremely one-sided. I think the whole phone issue is the only thing the uncle is trying to teach him a lesson on. Which it also sounds like the kid wasn’t all that responsible and paid late often. The kid is not holding up his end. He talks about being an adult when it comes to doing what he wants but where’s the adult when it comes to paying your bills? Regarding the passing..HE TOLD THE GRANDMOTHER THE BOY WAS LIVING WITH NOW!! That was all his responsibility entailed. THE UNCLE LOST HIS MOTHER!! I see everyone feeling sorry for the kid when maybe people need to have a little more compassion for the uncle. It doesn’t matter how old you are losing your mother is devastating! He has his own feelings to deal with and reconcile so I bet the nephew was the last thing on his mind. And there’s nothing wrong with that. He told those who should have told the kid. That’s on them that he didn’t know. The uncle has no other responsibility for him. To me the kid sounds like HE needs to get his act together. He appreciated uncle getting the phone so much that he paid late and then acted like it was no big deal to pay late. He lives with great grandma and then Grandma. You can’t bounce from one relative to another and still stand up and beat your cheat that you are a MAN. Maybe cut out the late night drinking with buddies and save that money to live on his own. Regardless of that I feel bad that no one seems to have compassion for the uncle who lost his MOTHER. That’s sad

I know there are people who don't like Judge Milian. They say she's not as strict or as tough as Judge Judy and at times she can be very unprofessional, but I love the way she handles cases. She isn't afraid to speak her mind and she's very casual, down to earth, relatable and likes to understand everyone on a personal level, which makes her my favorite judge.

How can you tell someone about the death of a family member on national T.V without feeling shame, this was clearly spiteful and evil...The uncle could of easily make the effort prior to the hearing outside the court room but decided to hurt this young man intentionally for the world to see...Wow, I feel disgusted and upset knowing that there's people who are this cruel!...Shame on you EVIL UNCLE!!!

Well, the plantiff did mention that the grandma he told has been very forgetful and might have Alzheimer's or dementia. He only showed proof of texting the grandma. I don't think he told other people like he's claiming, otherwise how would he have known that the defendant didn't know of the passing, and decide to make that announcement right there and then?

This is heartbreaking! My grandma past away and I didn’t know. A cousin of mine called me and said “did you know that grandma died” I was so heart broken this happened when I was 18 and this still hits hard at almost 30. Just because you don’t care about a person doesn’t mean you have to act rudely towards them.

I know it was confusing, but the young man wasn't living with the great-grandma and then moved out. The uncle was staying with the young man and his grandma at one point and then moved out. I think what he was saying was at one point in his young life the great-grandma and him were very close and it seemed as if they were implying he lived with her at one point in his life or he stayed with her a lot. I had to rewind the video myself to hear it again.

my father and i stopped talking after an argument. there were issues we were having, mostly between my stepmother and i, when i had my first baby. a few years later my grandmother, my fathers mother, passed away. i had only met her a few times as she lived in Greece (im in USA). anyways. my father never reached out to me. i found out she passed through an obituary i found online. in the obituary i was mentioned, and my (at the time) two children were mentioned as well. my father has never even met my children. it was completely bizarre. its been almost 5 years now, and i now have three kids,, and he still has not made an attempt to reach out to me.
