A few weeks ago I made some bubbles that I filled with hydrogen gas, and I thought it was pretty cool. Since then though I've built up some courage, and I want to try making bubbles with a mixture of hydrogen and oxygen
WARNING: Mixtures of hydrogen and oxygen gas are flammable and potentially explosive. This experiment was performed in a controlled environment. Please don't recreate what I do!

It's the same principle as if you hold a fire cracker in your open hand vs in your closed fist. As long as the explosive force has plenty of other ways to go, it will and your hand should be fine. However if you close your hand around the firecracker the explosive force can ONLY go into your hand and then then you might lose some fingers.

Imagine if people go around and kill someone with bubbles, they would never know what caused it because be it soap for the body, for the dishes or whatever they would never look at that, they would try to look at the electronic devices to see if the explosion came from one of them since who would suspect bubbles?
