日本語字幕あり。ストロップをいつも使うのですが、合板に皮を貼っただけのみすぼらしく、また軽くて滑る使いづらいものです。また高さがないとツールの柄が干渉するのも気に入りません。野外や持ち運び用は薄くして傾ければいいでしょうが、私は工房でどっしり使いたいので、重たいものを作りました。柄を付けなれば木の塊に革を接着するだけの簡単なもので、作り方というほどのものはありません。ただ、平面の出ていない2ｘ4のようなものはやめた方が良いと思います。建築用材木を使うなら平面出しをしっかりするか、合板を重ねて厚くしたものを使うべきです。
I didn't like a simple plywood strop that I use for a long time. It moves around and also I want some clearance for my hand to hold the tool handle. I wanted tall(thick) heavy duty ones. Beefy hardwood gives you stability and safety. I am totally happy with my new tools. If you don't put a handle, it is an easy DIY for your afternoon. The handle adds convenience and fanciness but you don't need it. Just a chunk of wood + leather will be this tool. I used to use wood glue but double sided tape should be strong enough.
