На самом деле я всегда за то чтобы люди делали что то своими руками, но данный случае не выдерживает никакой критики.

Занятно, но вот пара больших проблем: основание шпинделя, крепеж направляющих, и крепление патрона - НЕЛЬЗЯ делать из пластика на токарных и фрезерных станках в силу ОГРОМНОЙ деформации этих деталей при работе! У тебя на видео, шпиндель и деталь отгибает более чем на 20 градусов от центра оси!

I think that NOT including links to the CAD files for the plastic parts was a good thing. Anybody who actually tries to build this will be disappointed by the results.

High performance polymers can work fine but the thing they lack is weight for damping.

The idea and concept are nice, but it is a pity the whole machine is as stiff as chewing gum. Would it not be worth contracting a real miller to make rigit metal parts instead of pnastic, and replacing the motor and the hand control of the tool holder with arduino driven step motors ?

Oh great, another plastic lathe that looks great but runs just like you'd expect. That spindle shaft looks like it was turned on something else just as bad. And what holds those nuts in place that are holding the cutting tool in place? Don't see why they don't just pull out of the plastic. But I guess the only important thing is how it looks in the thumbnail.

Boa tarde ! Até que acho interessante, por ser um mini torno. Para peças pequenas e de baixa dureza pode até funcionar, estou vendo que quando força a manipuladora da peça preza para tornear, está vibrando, você sabedor disso que não pode,tem que alinhar a peça, muito frágil. Poderá ser usado para fazer rosca em peças pequenas, esse é o meu entendimento,boa sorte.

Mucho plástico y quizás peso escaso = poca precisión y vibraciones enormes, la impresión 3D queda muy bonito pero no dejan de ser piezas de juguetes

it looks nice but main question is how much stiff it is, because as more hard is object you mill, as more force you have to apply, as much lathe bends

9:11 that brass stick is milled on whole perimeter but it is still eccentric on milled surface, that is because whole machine twists and bends

Ідея то не погана, саморобний міні токарний станок !!! Але кінечний результат, був очікуваним, даному верстату критично не вистачає жорсткості конструкції вцілому. Тому якоїсь точності чи якісної обробки металевих деталей від нього чекати не варто, максимум це відшліфувати чи полірувати якісь мілкі деталі. Але це можна зробити і за допомогою інших призначених для цього інструментів.

А чё, так можно что ли? На этом станке только пластмассу обтачивать, о каком метале может идти речь?! Смешно, при первой подаче резца к заготовке и при начале точения я думал, что резцедержатель оторвёт. Он так отклонялся, всё такое хлипкое. Так обточить эту болванку я мог бы и на шуруповёрте держа резец руками.

Parts super glued ? 3D printed parts with bearings forced into place.. bolts with nuts being placed in opposite side as the forces applied when you tighten down tools.... common, you must be joking... don't see this as a serious project, but only as a waste of materials...
