The Big Bang Theory Reaction is today's video! Hey everyone! Join me as I continue my journey through The Big Bang Theory today!
Mensa-fied best friends and roommates Leonard and Sheldon, physicists who work at the California Institute of Technology, may be able to tell everybody more than they want to know about quantum physics, but getting through most basic social situations, especially ones involving women, totally baffles them. How lucky, then, that babe-alicious waitress/aspiring actress Penny moves in next door. Frequently seen hanging out with Leonard and Sheldon are friends and fellow Caltech scientists Wolowitz and Koothrappali. Will worlds collide? Does Einstein theorize in the woods?

The group having one last dinner of Howard's mom's food has always been an underrated episode of this series, imo. I really liked the concept, especially for a belated character who was strongly associated with cooking and food while they were alive.

Howard realizing Bernie sounded just like his mom was great touch to continue Deb's legacy too, especially after literally calling her mom by accident multiple times earlier.

Personal story: I was in the studio audience for the episode where they cook Mrs. Wallowitz's last dinner, but since they film episodes many weeks in advance, no one in the audience knew about her death in the show yet. (Of course, most people knew about the actress's death, but like you we had no idea how it would be handled in the show itself.) Before they started filming, they played a small clip from the episode where everyone found out that she died (to catch the audience up), and everyone there was totally shocked and caught off guard- not only because we were finding out about the death of a beloved character, but also because it was revealed to us so far in advance and without any buildup! I had to try really hard not to spoil the upcoming episodes for my family, who also watched the show... But all in all, it was a really fun time seeing the show filmed live! Honestly it was kind of like a stage show at some points, as the actors would interact with us between takes and throw out candy to people. We learned a lot about how the show was made and there were lots of funny bloopers. 😀

They could have hired another actress to voice Howard's mom easily, but I'm glad they're paying respect to the actress's memory with these episodes. It's very touching and heartwarming.

I do like how the show depicted Howard's grief over the loss of his mother, both in the reveal and just the little moments. The "I could have driven her" line is actually one of my favorites. When dealing with grief, especially loss, we often think about all of our last moments with that person, and it is very common that the more negative things you say or did stick out because you hope that isn't the last thing the person remembered of you. It's probably the Howard moment I re-watch the most. The "I'm never going to talk to her again" line shows that despite the majority of the interactions we saw of Howard with his mother involved shouting, you know he still loved her, and the thought of never gain hearing the shouting, let alone just the talking, is very painful.

That's one of the reasons I love this show. In another future episode, Sheldon tries to get the gang to play "Campaign for North Africa," which he calls the world's most complicated board game. That's a real game, and a friend of mine (also a big TBBT fan) was one of the developers. He was thrilled to death that Sheldon was playing his game.

@@bobbuethe1477 That's awesome, man. I also mentioned on a previous episode that the town Sheldon was stranded in (Kingman AZ) was where I grew up. Though not mentioned (possibly cut for time), it's actually fittingly famous among train historians like Sheldon. There was a massive explosion on a propane tanker that killed a dozen firefighters in 1973, still one of the deadliest in U.S. History. There's even a Locomotive Park and museum. The coolest part to me is that it's hard to hear, but they even got the street name right (Andy Devine Ave.) that the police station sits on. All the little details these guys nail is second to none.

@@clevelandcbi my best friend broke down twice in Kingman trying to move across country. I joined him the third time to help him move more stuff. Our mantra was " Just make it past Kingman and the rest is easy". Mostly it was with a few quirks in our adventure. 😊

Fun fact: Sheldon is mentioned as a Pisces here, but in season 1, when Penny asked Leonard if they could throw a party for his birthday, she said she did both their astral something and when Sheldon said it was nonsense, she said "blah blah typical TAURUS", so little continuity error here :)

Making Howard's mom's last dinner was actually really nice. It wasn't so much comedic, but it was kind of needed, for the actors, the show, and the characters in my opinion. Mrs. Wolowitz was a big part of the show, and Howard was a real mommy's boy, not spending an episode on showing off how much her passing would hurt him would make him seem far less human. Also, since the actress died as well, this is a nice chance for the crew to give her a send off.

Speaking of the View, I got to be in the audience for one episode. We were waiting in line for Live with Kelly and Ryan (I think) and an assistant came over and asked if we wanted to be in the audience for the View, so we went over and we sat in the top row in the section right behind Whoopi Goldberg, so basically I got to watch the back of her head the entire time! It was the episode where they talked about Pokemon Go, so July 2016, when it was brand new! It was the only part I remember. The rest of it was boring political rally stuff! Also, there was a guy who got the name Carl Winslow from the warm-up person!

7:36 My family and I did an escape room once. The theme of the one we did was 'Escape from Alcatraz.' My dad got especially into it because hes a committed kind of guy. Once he starts he wants to finish, and he loves puzzles it seems lol. We all had loads of fun and went to an Outback Steakhouses for dinner afterwards. Really fun night.

Btw, I recommend watching That's 70s Show, there this one episode of camping before graduation. OMG 😂 they should camp after graduating, because they miss the event.

I feel like if they cloned Sheldon and he actually had dinner with himself I think he would hate himself by the end of the dinner. He would find himself completely insufferable. But then the science side of his brain would kick in and he would just go try to solve theories with himself. But they would also fight insistently and constantly.
