I sold on ebay in the past, doing random things when we needed quick cash, or just needed some space. I've been watching your videos basically all day everyday for the past month. I have almost filled a notebook with all this amazing advice! I'm a 32 year old mom from Minnesota who also lives w/ a severe chronic pain disease. My "why" is because I NEED to make an extra income. I can no longer work due to my illness & mounting medical bills. I'll be honest. About 2 months ago I was in a really dark place. You have inspired this mom/wife to really dive deep, make this fun & make this profitable while also giving back to my community children's theatre. I already have a 14% STR with an ASP of $22. I know this is just the beginning but with your tools I can see the light again. THANK YOU!

I am lucky to have an ongoing smaller store no more than 250 listed and get daily sales, you can't get any better.

I love this podcast! I have a somewhat smaller store and streamline what I purchase and keep a variety of the same style that consistently moves. Its also a garment style that I love so I enjoy all parts of working with them

6:06 I love that he made a point on having fun and enjoying it because if you get too serious and you get uptight, and you have to nickel and dime and you have to have a spreadsheet, you might just need to do that anyway, but you know what I mean like if you get really intense about everything as far as profit, and being overly business 👨‍💼 like taking out the fun of it then you know that it’s not worth it right so I love that he mentioned that clearly.

I feel like I have a smaller store, I run my eBay business part time as I do have a full time job. Run about 800 listings on average with 9-10k gross per month on average. It feels pretty manageable and I just can’t source more than the amount my store sits at now!

the estate sales need extra help on the actual sale dates, I help on at least one of those days. It pays around $15 hour and I always find things I want to buy to resell and owner normally gives me a one price for all. Estate sales have a good future as a business. the realtors want the houses cleaned out to sell, the family wants what they can get $, everybody wins. I see this as a exploding business. and it is a good sourcing method.

The thrift stores on Long Island (New York) have JACKED their prices up like crazy. I don't usually tell people that I am a reseller because they get a bit pissy with me. I went to an estate sale and the prices were INSANE. Not even worth it. I have to find another place to source. Thanks for the info guys!

EBay fees and going up. Promoted listing is costing more. Yet overall business and traffic is way down. Etsy has taken over of my revenue share. Using ebay feels like using something built in the stone age.

Ok so i got allot of value from this right off the bat because i have the free inventory problem. Though i dont consider it free anymore because iv been paying for storage for almost a year . I have thousands of items that i got free from work with some of it being really nice stuff and others being low to mid end. I never thought about the auctions since it was free cuz i have that little voice in the back of my head saying its worth a good amount dont risk it. I had bad luck with auctions in the past so i avoid it . I really need the space now though so i think im gunna start turning and burning with auctions and roll the dice.

I watch metrics, I mess around with everything everyone says. And items have totals of 50- 500 impressions . Not views! Impressions! The eBay algorithm is horrible if it doesn't recognize your account

I'm curious why you have such an issue with donating. 1. You talk about not wasting time on junk items, but then you say do everything in your power to waste more time on those items that are obviously junk in order to get the sale? 2. Tons of resellers get their items from donation stores like Goodwill and other places, So by donating back the items that refuse to sell no matter what, you're actually helping that store stay in business so you can find more items in the future. I absolutely love your content and your perspective on most things, This is just very odd to me that I've heard you be very adamant about in several videos and I think it's just an odd contradiction to the rest of what you teach. Most of the channel is about effeciency and effectiveness, not re-doing things, not cross listing, not wasting time on bad items. But then you're just so against getting rid of bad items, and you talk about trying real hard to do anything you can to get the sale..... But dude, At some point the item just isn't worth it anymore. As well, im pretty sure every poor item left in your store hurts the algorithm a bit for every other item, which is yet one more great reason to donate items you're only gonna break even on. Every item we have takes up mental space and adds a bit of stress, no sense in decreasing the length of my life so I can spend 3 more months changing the title on a CD Folder so it can sell for $4. Just donate the dang thing, goodness.

@gokou135 I have same thoughts. I donate to actual local charities who can use the item, not necessaily resell it. I think it helps with karma, your business, taxes etc.
