So i've known the model:cycles is good for Instant FM synthesis.
But with it's older brother the Digitone, i've always gotten distracted by everything else it could do! So i figuered why not try to only make synth sounds with it and ignore the drum machine side of it. -- Not bad!

Simplicity. I love how around 17:30 and again at 21:00 you really stumble onto something sweet. I recently went to a bluegrass workshop and the leader achieved the sweetest moment when 20 or so people were just strumming a one-five boom-chick bass strum pattern. P.S. I found this vid because I've been sampling acoustic instruments onto loopers (guitar/mandolin) and wanted to take the samples to the next level of transmogrification. Thanks! Play on!

Cool love the Compact Creations because I always know I'm getting some music whatever the machine. I think the word on drum machines is that no-one even comes close to the Drumbrute/Drumbrute Impact interfaces. With those two it's like someone finally but the logic cap one when designing the controls. That said you do get better sound from pricier machines like Vermona and Tanzbar.

@@hughchapman5319 Yeah I'm gonna sell my Drumbrute but I'll miss those dedicated swing and randomness buttons with per track switches the most. I love the impact but I find that to get the snare how I want I usually blend the two snares available. The downside to this is that snare is something I like playing with the random setting on and then they don't always trigger together. I wish you could lock them in sync while adding randomisation.
