I have the s3 in sepang blue..very similar color. Its amazing how many different looks it can have based on the weather and lighting.

Hey man. I've got a 16plate MK7 R in lapiz blue too. Very similar level of swirls. Booked in for a 1 to 2 stage correction with semi ceramic next Monday. Think I'll get the same sort of results? Bit of sun the last few days made it v noticeable and had to get it booked in :) Just wondering if I would need the 2-3 stage. Car looked great after detailing! Cheers!

Maintenance is key now to maintain the finish and coating👍🏻 All it takes is one person who has no idea how to wash a car safely to ruin all of that work.

The ceramic coating should offer some degree of protection, but yes, it would be easily undone at your next oil service by a numpty at the dealership with a gritty sponge.

Clark W my Onyx White seems to be holding up surprisingly well. I avoided the Black or grey due to that issue but the white doesn’t seem to show it (if there are swirls, etc)

Hey guys, I’m interested in getting my car ceramic coated but I also want a full wrap in the near future. If I get this done and then apply a wrap further on down the line when I take the wrap off will it effect the ceramic coating? Would my better option be to have the wrap done and then ceramic coat in years to come when the wrap comes off?

With these cars having quite textured paint finish from factory surley by wet sanding only certain areas on the car your going to create a finish which isn't consistent over the car, either wet sand the whole thing or nothing at at all??

Your car, your choice, but imho, lose the Tyre lettering and put a standard plate on the front, or hide the holes

23RMJenkins in the US, a good job (with paint correction and a proper job) can be around $700-900 for a reputable job

Mine cost 500 cash should of been upwards of 600. That's for a 3yr coating, they don't last forever 😤

Great job, loose the tyre stickers. They are awful! Fit a full size front number plate. Holes look bad. Keep the good work up 👍

I mean, this guy seems some what knowledgeble, but sanding bug splatter? You can 9 out of 10 cases get it off with a simple two stage polish, and using a rotary machine for regular swirl removal, not masking off areas when sanding and polishing? Yikes

I think you just had your paint sanded for no reason, a little stage polish would of worked without removal of excessive paint 🤦🏻

@@hampshirephoto because bugs had etched the paint. But for a newish car I wouldn’t of bothered taken more paint off than I needed. A couple passes with some polish would of vastly improved that area

Holy fuck that guy is a menace with the rotary. Just mashing it over panel creases and fold lines etc with no control at all. That’s a hard watch. There is nothing good about this “detail”. I would love to see paint depth readings of your lacquer. They would be all over the place.
