I finally pulled off the raid on the huge "Ready Prep Army Surplus" store in LV, things got REALLY dicey at the end, but i made it out with a Box van & trailer FULL, plus the spare seat and my person heavily overloaded. Soo much Ammo, grabbed 5 M14s but left all the other guns as we have so many already. I didn't even make a big dent in the ammo in that place, i reckon i could do another 3/4 trips before it was empty of guns and ammo. But the Zs broke in big time on the last load i was taking to the van, so going back is going too be a bit trickier, might leave it for now. Next mission, prep up for clearing the Crossroads Mall!.

Oh no, I use fire in the early game and I've caught fire. I use the stop drop and roll mod now.

You can get Tchernobill's AutoMechanics mod... it lets you train your mechanics in auto mode and can pause at the end. Definitely best done in a safe environment but it will do the whole car uninstall and install in the appropriate order for all parts. Also, when you uninstall the radio, you should be able to disassemble it for more scrap electronics. Once you find the Automated Emergency Broadcast Station, you can hear the weather report, so it will help you prepare for days to go out and when to stay at the base.

The distance on traps is the beginning. Go into foraging mode, you’ll see forest and deep forest. The thicker the forest the better chances for wild life. This doesn’t apply to birds though.

You can't Disassemble vehicles that were previously operable in the game if that's what you're going for. You can only Disassemble with the propane torch wrecked or burned out vehicles that spawned in the game that way.
