I loved how great the animation was while watching the show, the attention to detail and the way it was directed too. It was absolutely beautiful, the only complaint i have with it is the way how everyone react super over the top and those jokes. Other than that i love this show

@@raawesome3851 news flash, they're under MAPPA... Oblivion Battery is tied to MAPPA. It's beyond irritating that they're OK producing this, but go ahead and scrap another sports anime.

MAPPA is a studio of creators, like any studio, and if those creators aren't willing or able to make it, or if they don't flat out exist in the studio anymore, which seems to be the case, how are they supposed to make it? These have completely different creators and staff, so it's a little misguided.

@@cirrus.skylar also, I get your frustration for not getting the anime you want after years of waiting. Believe it or not, I am a fan of the show too. It's a really good anime to me, and it actually sucked to hear that it was cancelled. But at the same time, MAPPA isn't one person making all of the shows they're making. There's hundreds of staff members that are in and out of the studio working on their shows. Being a sports anime has nothing to do with it. What has to do with it is that Yuri on ice is an original anime, and that requires being an original story, vs a manga adaptation. The script writer was supposed to rewrite it, and then flat out took so long that, by the time the staff were available, both the character designer and Chief episode director were free from their respective projects as soon as mid to late 2023, and had actually started pre production back during late 2022, the major animation producer, Fuko Noda, left the company, who is a huge reason that MAPPA couldn't have done it. I understand that you've been waiting for a show for years only for you to not get anything out of it, but there's more to the story than just, "MAPPA bad", even if there are problems with the studio.

“Lot of money” Also Otsuka: “we earned little money” because you, with NO further research, didn’t realise that Mappa wasn’t even the IP Holder. The studio was at the bottom of the list while the top one, the ones who decide everything from budget to distribution, were the major companies that received majority of the revenue
