Design is not so much about the clothing but what stands out on the item that makes it into sometimes iconic such as Virgil added the zip tie to his sneakers that was genius

You guys have no clue about fashion. Most of these items are "haute couture". Wich means only one, maybe a couple items are created. NOT FOR DAILY WEAR nor for average plebs. This is Virgil Abloh and hes team in a VERY creative process that most of you wont be able to grasp.

Jeroen Dutoix it’s not haute couture at all! To be haute couture everything has to be hand made from the most luxe materials and have to be acknowledged as a couturier. What off white is, is Ready to Wear. What he creates in the vid are show pieces. Some may be put into full production. Others will never leave the showroom/archives. So before you start saying others have no clue, just read what you write before posting 😜

Mr. Abloh can’t make a decision if he wants to be Margiela, RAF SIMONS, Helmut Lang, Jill Sander and so on. Dudes “designing” clothing archetypes. and there a people out there who thinks he is some kind of creative genius.

At 5:30 you can blatantly see it’s an A COLD WALL ACW hood, as it’s branded on the sides. Yet has an off white label ? I know Sam of ACW done some work for Virgil. But this is taking the piss! Quite possibly one of the most unoriginal designers around. The line is a rehash if old school margiela, RAF, etc etc. At least ACW is doing something fresh.

i wouldn't call him a 'thief" per se. Virgil is an i deal guy. he is like a human version of tumblr or pinterest. loads of references from varying sources. he finds a way to make them fit within a relatively loose manifesto/concept. good on him though. he worked hard and it has paid off. one can't begrudge hard work.
