Making of tanto knife PART 2 (Finishing and engraving)

4 жыл бұрынPart 2 of how we made this custom Tanto knife, with Damascus steel, Stabilised wood grip, mosaic pins and High end engraving by hand.
In first minutes you can see Florian picking up from where he left on part 1 and finishing the knife, afterwards I bring this project to an end with engraving the Bolsters by hand under microscope.
Damascus stell is made by Damasteel
Steel used for bolsters is D2

I'm late to the party. But that damascus pattern is stellar. If the bolster is metal...why not engrave it haha. Nice work. You are very talented.

That's an amazing knife! I've got a few questions, are you able to see the pins in the bolster after sanding and polishing? What did you etch the damascus with? Also I would have liked if you in the end showed the whole finished knife! Thanks!

Pins can be seen after polishing but with this knife pins are hidden in engraving.
